B2B marketing strategy

A marketing strategy that matches where your company is going

Short answer

A B2B marketing strategy should answer three questions: who you need to be chosen by, what they need to understand about you, and how you will reach them consistently. Many established companies have plenty of marketing activity but no shared answer to these questions. I help leadership teams define that direction and build a system to deliver it.

Is this you?

  • Marketing is busy, but no one can explain how it moves the business forward
  • Campaigns, events, content and agencies each follow their own plan
  • Your team or agency asks for direction, and gets different answers
  • The strategy was written for an earlier version of the company
  • You’re not sure if the problem is strategy, execution or the team

Why it happens

In growing companies, marketing often grows by addition: a new channel, a new event, a new agency, a new campaign. Each decision makes sense on its own. Over time, the activity outgrows the strategy, and no one owns the full picture.

The result is a team that works hard in different directions, and a market that receives a mixed message.

Strategy problem or execution problem?

If activity is high but results keep falling, and different teams describe the company in different ways, it’s usually strategy. If the direction is clear and agreed but delivery is inconsistent, it’s usually execution. Most companies have some of both, which is why I look at the two together.

How I work on this

  1. Listen: understand the business goals, the buyers, and how decisions are made on their side
  2. Diagnose: review current positioning, channels, activity and team or agency set-up against those goals
  3. Narrative: define the core message and how it adapts for each audience
  4. System: set priorities, channels, responsibilities, timing and measures, so the strategy is delivered, not filed

What you get

  • A clear marketing direction leadership can agree on
  • Priorities: what to keep, what to stop, what to start
  • A plan your team or agency can execute, with clear ownership
  • A view on whether your current team or agency set-up fits the strategy

FAQs

Do you replace our marketing team or agency?

No. I define the direction and the system. Your team or agency delivers it, or I direct a specialist network if you need execution support.

Yes. I work with organisations across the UAE, the wider GCC and Australia.

What size of company do you work with?

Established B2B organisations that have outgrown how they market themselves, typically led by founders, C-level executives or senior directors.
